Todd Davies is the Associate Director of Research and Development for the Division of Addiction Sciences in the Department of Family and Community Health at Marshall University’s Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine. He has been instrumental in forming a number of community coalitions focused on addiction recovery and has extensive experience in the development and implementation of clinical research trials of various sizes and design: with particular expertise in recruiting patients in Appalachia with substance use disorder. Dr. Davies is the Program Director for the Masters in Clinical and Translational Science degree designed to create greater opportunities for clinical research professionals. He directs a specialized clinical research group that specializes in improving access to clinical research for vulnerable populations. In addition to clinical trials, his research is centered on in utero exposure and trauma and exploring the multi-factorial relationships between biological stress management and trauma processing.
